I’ve been wanting to create a post and introduce you all to a pretty awesome person.  She is the founder of the incredible FashionablyLateBoyMom blog.  I first met Letty back in August when she reached out to me to do a photo shoot for her fall look blog post.  We recently just took photos for her winter styles, so be on the lookout for her post with those new looks!  Also, for some reason I’ve noticed that whenever we shoot, it’s either 110 degrees or in the low 40s.  Both were certainly not great times to be outside shooting but we did and we rocked it!

Over the past couple of months, Letty and I have been connecting on events, running ideas past each other on future plans, and she’s even become an amazing friend.  I can hit up Letty anytime and I can always count on her to be there and to give her honest opinion!  Two weeks ago, I reached out to her and asked if she’d be willing to help give my wardrobe a boost.  Without hesitation, she said, “yes!”  So, we scheduled a day to head over to the Northpark Mall in Dallas, where you spend over 20 minutes trying to find parking and another 20 minutes running from one side of the mall to the other.

We met up at H&M and started looking around to see what we could find.  After about two hours in there and trying on several different outfits, we finally agreed that the wardrobe was officially boosted.  My family came along too because they didn’t have anything to do.  Everyone collectively made fun of me because I’m so skinny and even the small clothes didn’t quite fit right.  Don’t worry y’all, I eat literally everything in sight!  It’s just that my metabolism is working overtime.

I don’t think I’ve said thank you enough to Letty for taking time out of her schedule to help me out. So, Letty, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU!!!

Oh! One last thing, y’all! I received a text from Letty today and it was a pleasant surprise! It was a link to an article with Voyage Dallas. They did a feature on Letty and her fashion blog. Letty even plugged my photos in there so that was super awesome to have some photos in one of Dallas’ most popular magazines. Check out the article here.

Be sure to follow her on Instagram (@fashionablylateboymom), read her blog, and show her some love! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH HER CONTENT!!!  It has been such an honor getting to know and work with her and even to see her growth as a fashion blogger/influencer.  I am very excited to see where she goes next as I know that God has a ton in store for her!

Also, I have some big things coming along with my Instagram and a big trip planned! I’ll keep you guys posted with what goes on!

Leslie by Londen Wheeler

Leslie in Richardson, TX

Ok, ok. Listen, I know it’s been a few months since I’ve posted any new content but a lot has happened since the last post in June, and I’m pretty happy with where I am in life. I’ll write another post soon with updates on what’s been going on! With that said, I linked up with Leslie and Fredy in Richardson after work and crushed these photos! I was trying to shoot with Leslie for months but had so much going on that we couldn’t get anything done. After taking a few months off, I must say that I am pretty satisfied with how these turned out!

Happy Late Valentine's Day?? by Londen Wheeler

First thing's first... DID YOU GUYS SEE BLACK PANTHER YET?!  It's a must see if you haven't seen it yet!  #WakandaForever

Alright, back to the business at hand!  How's this for being different?!  This is my first time doing a shoot like this and I'm sure it won't be my last!  This shoot made me take a step out of my comfort zone.  Being that most of my shoots have been outdoors the past couple of years, this was also good practice for working with light that's available me.  For some of the shoot, I used my ring light and a backdrop.  Towards the end of the shoot, I challenged challenged myself to find the best available lighting in the house.  You know when old folks haven't done something for a long time, then they go do that thing and end up doing it well.  Yeah, that was me during this shoot and it's safe to say, that I still got it!

Not only was it a fun shoot, but it was certainly a lot better when Alex comes in and just completely slays!  This late Valentine's Day shoot was one to remember.  I'm super satisfied with how well everything went and is ready to do another shoot since I don't have much time to pull my camera out.  I almost want to buy some strobes because I miss doing studio work but at this point in my life, I'd rather spend money on traveling!  Because who doesn't love a good trip, right?

Speaking of trips...  Get ready for some super awesome photos coming in the next blog post.  It'll be a trip that I've been trying to make for a while and now I am finally getting a chance to go!  I haven't seen some of friends in years so it'll be good to see them as well!  Anyway, have a great rest of the week guys!

Maria & Family by Londen Wheeler

Sup, everyone!  Long time no see!  It's been a while since I've done a blog post.  My coworker and good friend, Maria finally got a free day for us to go do photos with her kids.  We literally planned to do this since the summer and have both just not been able to do a shoot because of our lives being so hectic.

The day before the shoot, we confirmed where we wanted to go. The photos that I saw online made the locations look beautiful and a place that would be good for family photos.  Well, that wasn't the case after we got there!  We pulled up, looked around, and everything was brown, dead, and ugly.  I had another location as a backup and we made our way to that spot.  Literally the exact same thing.  Everything was ugly, the park was extremely small, you could see the back of people's houses, fences.  Just a pitiful park.  Should it have even been called a park?  Maria mentioned that she had a park where she used to do her morning runs that could work.  We hopped back into the car and made our way to Rockwall, Texas.  This park in comparison to the first two was perfect for what we needed.  What really made this shoot so great was that it was almost 70 degrees!  Perfect December weather if you ask me.

After the shoot, Maria's son wanted some Wendy's so we stopped and got him a 4 for 4 because he killed the shoot and had a great time!  No better way to end a long afternoon of shooting than a pitstop for some food and a Wendy's frosty.

I'm always interesting in meeting more people in the DFW area so if any of my readers know anybody, send them on to me!  I'd love to do more work with families and couples.  I'd really like to do some lifestyle shoots with couples in an Airbnb or some really awesome location.  So again, let me know if you all know some folks!

Homecoming 2017 by Londen Wheeler

It's that time of year again!  Seeing this high schoolers definitely takes me back to my glorious high school days.  I will say that our Homecomings back in Virginia were nothing like they are out here in Texas!  Back in the day we used to have the Homecoming dance after the football game and everybody got there all stinky and "smelling like outside."

This shoot was one to remember though.  I was super excited when my friend Kelsey hit me up to see if I could photograph her sister and friends for homecoming.  I accepted with no questions asked and when you have a group of high schoolers that dress to kill, these are the results!  Thanks for allowing me to photograph your special day, guys!  I hope you had a fun and safe night of dancing!
