Portraits

Dan and Amy by Londen Wheeler

It's not every day that you get to photograph a couple who are arguably the best and most humble people you've ever met. Dan reached out to me and noticed that I didn't have any maternity photos on the site. He wasn't wrong. I've never photographed any maternity photos and never really jumped at the chance to call myself such a photographer. He asked if I was interested in photographing his wife for a maternity session. Of course, I jumped at the chance to be able to do that. It would be nice to branch out and photograph something other than sports and senior photos for once. I gleefully agreed and decided that we would do an early morning shoot at a local lake here in Dallas. We chose the early morning because.... well, it's July in Texas. We weren't trying to have a heat stroke for some photos.

Dan and Amy certainly had some words of wisdom for a young photographer with high career aspirations. This shoot turned into a wisdom-session and it's a conversation that I will never forget for as long as I live. One of the main reasons why I love being a photographer is because I get to learn so much about the people that I photograph and vice versa.

Thanks, Dan and Amy for trusting me to take photos of such an amazing time in your lives!

Alizay by Londen Wheeler

There's no shoot that I enjoy more than doing senior photoshoots! Whether high school or collegiate, nothing compares to seeing people graduate and talk about all of their ambitions and what they want to do after graduation. Although I enjoy these shoots, every year that passes by, I'm getting older and my clients are getting younger. That only means one thing... I'm turning into an "old head." I'm not ready to be old, y'all!

Alizay and I did this shoot at the University of Texas at Dallas. I love this campus. The buildings are beautiful, and the atmosphere is always pretty chill when I'm there. Alizay was a lot of fun to work with! A lot of great conversation! She told me about the field that she's studying and what she plans to do, and I tell you what, she has an amazingly bright future ahead of herself. Makes me miss those days when I would talk about my goals and ambitions as a young 22-year-old. Ahhh, the good old days.

Anyway, I'm still scheduling shoots! I'm down for events! Big or small!

The Medinas by Londen Wheeler

This was one of my favorite photoshoots of the year and my second time working with Sarah and her family! This time we went to Rockwall Harbor. A more intimate space than the last time we did a shoot in Downtown Dallas. It was so much fun being with this beautiful family and watching the boys play and have fun with their parents. These are the moments that I love the most during our shoots. In years to come, they'll hopefully look at these photos and remember the day they had by the lake with their parents. I can't wait to work with Sarah and her family again in the future!

This is my favorite time of year with the holidays coming up, so doing these photoshoots makes me feel great! Hit me up to schedule a photoshoot for the holidays!

Kelsey by Londen Wheeler

Kelsey and I are back in the game, y’all! Now that I’m starting to get more time to shoot and do things outside fo the house, you can expect to see more shoots like this. Kelsey and I always meet up to shoot and catch up to reminisce about all of the fun times and our friendship.

Mother's Day by Londen Wheeler

On what feels like the windiest day fo the year, we somehow managed to make it through the shoot. The wind was blowing so hard that my 130 lbs self was being moved all around like a leaf! We’ve been experiencing crazy weather in Dallas the past week. Between extremely high winds and weeks long rain, I’m not sure what else to expect at this point!

This shoot was fun! I got to photograph a mother and her two beautiful daughters for a fun Mother’s Day shoot! What we didn’t expect was it being prom weekend. Our location was super busy and full of high schoolers looking to return to normalcy after this year with the virus. We booked this shoot hoping that it would be an easy one but with the wind and the amount of people in the park, it was tough to find a good spot. We made it work, though. The photos turned out fantastic and I absolutely hope that I can work with these lovely ladies again in the future!

I’m still booking photoshoots throughout the summer and hope that I can continue photographing new faces and even get back to some familiar ones now that we’re having some normalcy. Let’s work, y’all!
